Taking Action for Whole Health & Wellbeing When: Every Tuesday Evening from 6 pm to 8.30 pm for 5 weeks Starting 29th April, Ending 27th May inclusive. In order to receive a certificate, you must attend all 5 sessions. Where: Online Facilitators: Mary Mulcahy, FRCNF Mental Health Training & Policy Officer Rona Mc Brierty, Senior Advisor Copeland Center About this course: The Copeland Center's Taking Action for Whole Health & Wellbeing is a peer-led programme that empowers individuals to recover, sustain, and improve their overall health and lifestyle. Based on SAMHSA’s Taking Action curriculum and developed with input from those with lived experience, this course combines evidence-based and experiential peer strategies to foster holistic wellbeing. Key Elements: Recovery, wellness, self-care, and self-compassion Building self-esteem, connection, and empowerment Developing strong personal and community support systems Wellness tools for managing physical, emotional, and mental health Strategies for crisis planning, relapse prevention, and self-advocacy Lifestyle topics: employment, motivation, and meaningful activity Delivery Format: This interactive course is delivered online over five weeks, with one 2.5- hour session per week. The structured yet flexible format allows for meaningful peer engagement while accommodating participants’ schedules. Outcomes: Enhanced self-determination and resilience Improved health management through personalised wellness strategies Stronger support networks and community inclusion Increased ability to navigate crises and maintain long-term wellbeing Pathway to Facilitator Training: Taking Action for Whole Health & Wellbeing is a prerequisite for those wishing to complete the Taking Action Facilitator Training and deliver this programme within their community.
